Here's the Family update.
Bad News - H is still very much feeling the pain.
Good News - The pain meds are helping her, and she isn't complaining about any of it.
The Little Man is doing GREAT. He is off oxygen, and just sucking down air right now. Mom and Dad got to hold him, and Mom got to even feed him orally for the first time ... and man was he hungry (must be like his dad). He ate and promptly fell asleep (definitely like his dad). H held him for about 1/2 an hour while he slept.
They are increasing his food intake regularly, and have seen no problems yet. He's still suntanning, but he was awake for quite a while yesterday checking everything out.
Much thanks for all of your prayers. We can't wait for him to come home so that H can parade him around like she's supposed to do.
Scott, Heidi, Samuel - (Sammy and Eve too)
ReplyDeleteWe are thinking of you constantly. Heidi - I am determined to get a hold of you by phone today to see when I can come to see you. I was REALLY confused about where you were Friday. Went to Willow Creek to see you and they said of course Samuel was there, but you were not - now I realize you were taking a break and never were admitted to that hospital.:) So much for all the planning huh? God is just like that sometimes...we have all these plans about how things will go and He makes a different decision - all for our character and dependence on Him though - I believe. There is no testimony without a test - you all will have a sweet testimony about the miracle of Samuel:) May he grow to know, love, and serve Jesus Christ. I am praying for your physical recovery Heidi and for your heart as you have to spend time recovering without Samuel in your arms. I will see you soon.
Love to all -
lori
for Noel and Lily too:)
